"Propri-e-tea" is based on a famous line in Robert Burns poem "To a Louse" which reads "'Oh wad some power the giftie gie us... To see oursels as ithers see us!' The poem is about a pompous woman sitting in a church pew unaware that the congregants behind her are seeing lice crawling in her hair. I used artistic license to place a nest of birds in her hat. Many people see a resemblance to Queen Elizabeth, but that is purely coincidental. This is actually a 'dysfunctional' teapot.
